Xavier Labor Relations Institute (XLRI) Jamshedpur has made an important announcement for Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2026 candidates. The edit window for application form corrections is opening tomorrow, October 14th, until October 16th.

This is a mandatory step for all registered candidates who wish to correct any errors or update information in their application. Candidates are advised to complete the necessary changes within this limited period (48 hours) by logging on to the official website, xatonline.in.

XAT 2026: What can you change in the correction window?

XLRI has clarified that candidates can edit most of the details in their application during the correction window. This is important to ensure that the application form accurately reflects their actual profile.

Key details that can be edited:

Educational Qualification: Candidates can correct any mistakes related to their educational background.
Work Experience: If there are any changes or corrections to a candidate's work experience, it can be updated.
Exam City Preferences: Candidates can change their selected exam city options as per their convenience.
Other Personal Details: Name, address, and other non-critical personal details can also be corrected.

Note: Candidates' email ID and mobile number will remain unchanged. These details are used for all official correspondence, so corrections are not permitted.

Why is timely registration important?

Even though the correction window is open, the final registration deadline for XAT 2026 is December 5th. However, Rahul Shukla, Admissions Convener at XLRI Jamshedpur, advises candidates to register early.

Ensuring accurate data: Shukla stated that this edit window is a crucial step to ensure that each candidate's application accurately reflects their actual profile.

Access to Mock Tests: Candidates who register early are granted access to official XAT mock tests. These mock tests help candidates familiarize themselves with the interface and structure of the exam, which is crucial for preparation.

How to Apply for XAT 2026 and Make Corrections

The XAT exam has been conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur on behalf of XAMI (Xavier Association of Management Institutes) members for over 75 years. It is one of the most trusted national-level entrance exams for admission to over 250 MBA and PGDM institutes in India.

First, visit the official website xatonline.in.
Click on the 'Edit Application' or 'Login' link on the home page.
Enter your registration ID and password to log in to your XAT account.
Access the application form and make the necessary changes to the sections that require corrections.
Review all changes carefully.
Click the Save button and save a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.

XLRI advises candidates to complete all corrections before the window closes on October 16 to avoid last-minute technical issues. No corrections will be considered after this deadline.
