XAT 2027 Registration Date July 15: Check Application Process, Fees & Documents

The process of registration for the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2027 will commence from July 15. Further, XLRI Jamshedpur has come up with an innovative program whereby all those candidates registering themselves on the very first day will get their choice of exam cities.

According to XLRI, candidates who will register on July 15, 2026, will get their first choice of test city. The information regarding allocation of centers will be made available by August 5, 2026. It will help candidates plan for their journey and prepare for the examination beforehand.

Now, the website displays the date for commencement of the application process. XLRI Jamshedpur will release the entire schedule of this national level entrance examination on the very first day of registration. The application process for XAT 2027 will continue till the first week of December 2026. XAT is always conducted on the first Sunday of January every year and the expected date of XAT 2027 is January 3. The examination will be held in one shift between 2 pm to 5 pm. Every year around 75,000 candidates take the exam and it is conducted in 100+ cities in India.

XAT 2027 Application Fees

XAT fee for last year was INR 2,200. The fee may increase or decrease this time around. Below is the fee structure:

Documents Required for XAT 2027

Make sure that all your documents are ready prior to filling out the form. That way, you won't be caught off guard at the end. You will have to upload your photograph and signature and should have the relevant academic & identity documents handy. Below is the list:

The following documents are required during the time of registration: Class 10, 12 and graduation mark sheets; proof of date of birth; proof of address; Aadhaar card; scanned photograph; scanned signature; and category certificate. It must be noted here that the photograph must be a color passport-size photograph taken recently and the signature should be signed in black ink on a white sheet of paper. All information should be filled in very carefully as there is no facility for corrections in the form after submission.

How to Apply for XAT 2027?

Candidates applying for XAT 2027 shall apply through an online mode only. The candidate needs to apply for the form through creating login ID for the exam. Below mentioned is the procedure:

• Go to the XAT 2027 website: xatonline.in
• Click on 'New Registration' and put in the required information
• Your XAT ID and registration link will be sent to your email
• Click on the link to confirm your XAT 2027 registration
• Go back to the homepage and click on 'Login'
• Put in your email ID and password
• Now go to the page for the application form
• Complete all the mandatory details of the form
• Upload your photo and signature
• Recheck everything before clicking on submit
• Make the payment for XAT 2027 application form via Debit/Credit card/Net Banking

XAT is conducted by XLRI on behalf of Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI). It is among the oldest and most accepted management entrance exam in the country. It is accepted by over 250 business schools in the country and is conducted in over 100 cities in India.

While announcing the registration process, Dr. Rahul Shukla, Convenor, XAT 2027, said that the exam is a trustworthy entrance to quality management education since decades.

"For XAT 2027, we will continue building on this value and adding initiatives that help the aspirants in preparing for the exam and making their test-taking journey more assuring and student friendly," he said.

The exam can be taken up by graduates in any discipline regardless of having work experience or not.

To support candidates, XLRI announced that there would be various mock tests, webinars by the convenor and online sessions with past toppers.

XAT is conducted in a single sitting without any score normalization. It acts as the entrance test for MBA & PGDM admission into XLRI and other participating management institutes.
