The Central Board of Secondary Education will close the LOC correction window on April 17, 2025. Schools can make corrections in LOC data through the official website of CBSE, cbse.gov.in.
According to the official notification, the facility of correction in details is available through the CAMC portal till tomorrow for all schools, so that correct data of candidates can be uploaded with proper school records.
LOC correction or updation request can be made for change of name of mother/father, name correction for candidate and mother/father (only minor corrections are allowed), F_L_Code correction, photo correction, DOB correction (allowed only as per rules and on the basis of supporting documents), update in single child field, gender correction (only if there is a mistake in male/female).
- Interchange of mother’s and father’s names
- Correction of photograph
- Date of birth correction, subject to board rules and valid documentation
- Update in the 'Single Child' status field
- Correction of gender
Complete change in the name of candidate and parents will not be allowed.
No change in category allowed
CBSE has further stated that a change of category, such as from General to OBC, is not permitted as part of this correction process.
A processing fee of ₹1000 per candidate will be charged for correction in the records of regular candidates. This fee will be deposited by the schools to the concerned regional office.
The board had opened the correction window on April 9, 2025, as it had found that many schools had submitted incorrect data. This facility is provided for correction in the details of the candidates so that correct results and marks details can be provided to the candidates.
This year, the board conducted the CBSE Class 10 exam 2025 from February 15 to March 18. Around 44 lakh students from 8,000 schools across the country and abroad were eligible to appear for the CBSE Class 10 and 12 exams.
The Class 10 results will be declared on the official websites of CBSE. To check the results when declared, students will need details such as roll number, school number, and date of birth. Candidates can check the official website of CBSE for more related details.
