The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially opened the online application portal for CBSE Class 12 Verification, Photocopy, and Re-evaluation 2026 today, May 19, 2026.

In a massive relief move, the Ministry of Education has heavily slashed the processing fees by up to 85% and announced a 100% full fee refund if a student’s marks increase at any stage of the review.

The re-evaluation process is strictly sequential. Students must apply for Step 1 to become eligible for subsequent steps. You cannot apply for a re-evaluation without ordering a digital photocopy first.

Official Board Rule: As highlighted in the official notice, the processing fee will be completely refunded to the student's bank account in case of any increase in marks after the re-evaluation process.

How to Apply for CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation 2026 Online

Follow these step-by-step instructions to submit your application form on the official board website:

  • Visit the Portal: Go straight to the official CBSE Re-checking and Re-evaluation Portal.
  • Login: Enter your Roll Number, 5-digit School Number, and Admit Card ID exactly as printed on your CBSE Class 12 admit card.
  • Select Subjects: Choose the specific subjects for which you wish to obtain the digital scanned answer sheet.
  • Submit Application: Review your selections carefully. You can only submit one single online application form; adding more subjects later is not permitted.
  • Fee Payment: Pay the revised application fee (Rs. 100 per answer book) online using a Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking/UPI.
  • Download Confirmation: Save and print the confirmation page containing your application reference number for tracking future updates.

CBSE 12th Re-Evaluation 2026: Critical Guidelines for Students & Parents

Sequential Order is Mandatory: You cannot jump directly to challenging specific questions. You must first order the scanned photocopy between May 19 and May 22.

No Offline Requests: Applications sent via post, school channels, or physical drop-offs at regional offices will be summarily rejected. The entire process is strictly online.

Marks Can Decrease: The outcome of the re-evaluation is final and legally binding. Your score can increase, remain unchanged, or even decrease. If your score changes, you will be required to surrender your old marksheet to receive a revised digital and physical certificate.

Supplementary Exam Alternative: If your marks do not change sufficiently to clear a subject, the online registration for the July 15, 2026 Supplementary & Improvement Exams will officially commence on June 2, 2026.
