The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the registration process for the Class 10 and 12 board exams 2026. Registration for the board exams began on September 16, 2025.

Schools can register their students through the Pariksha Sangam portal, available on the CBSE's official website, cbse.gov.in. This is an important step as it is required for students to appear for the board exams.

CBSE Class 10, 12 Exam Registration Fees and Important Dates

CBSE has also revealed the registration fees and payment deadlines for the board exams. Students must pay the registration fee without a late fee and with a late fee. The fee details are as follows:

It is worth noting that CBSE has decided to link candidates' APAAR IDs to the Class 9 and Class 11 registration data of schools located in India. This aims to make the registration process more transparent and secure.

Steps to apply for CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2026:

  • Visit the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in, and log in to the Pariksha Sangam portal.
  • Login with your school's login credentials.
  • Fill in students' personal information in the registration form.
  • Select the subjects in which students will appear for the exam.
  • Pay the registration fee (via internet banking/UPI/debit/credit card).
  • Following registration, perform data verification and make corrections within the correction period allowed (November 14th to November 28th).
  • Download and preserve the registration slip.

Registration Process and Correction Permission

According to CBSE, after the registration process is completed, schools will be provided with a data verification slip for each candidate. If any errors are found in the information provided by the school or candidate, such as name, date of birth, or subject information, CBSE has announced that corrections will be allowed from November 14, 2025, to November 28, 2025. After this, no corrections will be permitted by the board.

Downloading and Safekeeping of Registration Slips

After the completion of the registration process by CBSE, schools will be provided with registration slips for download. These slips will be provided to students by the schools to keep them safe for future reference.

Importance of Entering Correct Data

CBSE has asked schools to ensure that they enter correct and complete information during the registration process. Schools have already been instructed to have correct data ready so that only correct data can be submitted within the stipulated time once the registration process begins. If there are any irregularities in the registration process, students' registration may be cancelled.

Permission to Appear in the Exam

CBSE has clarified that only students who submit their names through the online registration process will be allowed to appear in the Class 10 and 12 board exams in 2026. Therefore, it is important for students to complete the registration process on time.

Methods for Registration Fee Payment

Registration fees can be paid through internet banking, UPI, debit card, credit card, NEFT, or RTGS. This will facilitate students and schools to pay fees conveniently online.
