CBSE Class 12 Scanned Answer Sheet Deadline Extended Till May 23 — Details
The last date to apply for scanned copies of Class 12 evaluated answer sheets by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has been extended by one day.
Applications are now open until May 23, 2026, instead of the previous deadline of May 22.
Why Did CBSE Extend the Deadline?
The Board stated that this decision was taken due to technical glitches encountered in the verification-related facilities on the CBSE website. In its notice, CBSE stated that this timeframe has been extended to ensure that students have sufficient time to complete the application process without facing any inconvenience.
"Candidates are advised to take advantage of this extended deadline and apply accordingly," the Board stated, adding that all other terms and conditions regarding this facility would remain unchanged.

How to Apply for Scanned Answer Sheets
This process is quite easy. The students have to go to the official CBSE website and login to their accounts. After receiving the scanned copies of the answers, they can go through them and see whether they should opt for verification/re-evaluation of particular questions or not.
Revised Fee Structure for Post-Result Services
CBSE had already slashed the fees for all post-result services this year. Here's what students need to pay now:
This year, CBSE had significantly reduced the fees for post-result services. The fee for obtaining scanned copies of evaluated answer sheets was reduced from ₹700 to ₹100 per subject. The Board also lowered the verification fee from ₹500 to ₹100, while the re-evaluation fee was reduced from ₹100 per question to ₹25 per question.
| Service | Old Fee | New Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Scanned copy of answer sheet | ₹700 per subject | ₹100 per subject |
| Verification of marks | ₹500 | ₹100 |
| Re-evaluation per question | ₹100 | ₹25 |
Students who wish to obtain scanned copies of their answer sheets can apply through the official CBSE portal using their login credentials. Upon receiving the scanned copies, candidates can decide whether they wish to have their marks verified or apply for the re-evaluation of specific answers.
CBSE has also announced that the re-evaluation fee will be refunded in the event that the marks increase following the re-evaluation.
What Should Students Do Now?
Students who couldn't apply earlier due to portal issues should use this extra day wisely. The new deadline is May 23, 2026
