CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Practical Exam Schedule Released; Tests From July 29

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued guidelines for Class 12 supplementary practical examination. CBSE Class 12 practical exams for all streams will be held between July 29 and August 4, 2026.

Eligible candidates need to contact their schools or allotted examination centres on or before July 27. Over 2.5 lakh students are going to appear for CBSE Class 12 theory supplementary examination on July 28.

Guidelines are for those students who come under Repeat Practical (RP) and Repeat Theory and Practical Both (RB).

In case of RP category, students will appear only for practical examination. Marks of theory examination will be carried forward in this case. Candidates coming under RB category will have to appear for theory as well as practical examination.

Regular students will appear for practical examination in their respective schools. Private candidates will appear for examination in supplementary examination centres allotted to them.

In case a candidate’s examination centre lacks necessary laboratory facility for a particular subject, concerned CBSE regional office will organize examination for them. The practical examination can be held either at nearby school or examination centre having required laboratory facility.

External examiners have been appointed by CBSE for conducting Class 12 supplementary practical examinations in different regional offices.

Schools and Centre superintendents cannot appoint external examiners on their own. They can nominate internal examiners from their teaching faculty only.

Schools Must Upload Practical Marks on the Same Day

As per instruction of CBSE, schools and examination centers have been told to submit the practical examination marks at the official website of the board on the same day.

As per the circular of CBSE, once the marks are uploaded, they will become final and there will not be any request entertained for change of marks afterwards by the board.

Students need to bring a copy of CBSE Class 12 result/marksheet along with their admit card when going to the school/examination center.

Along with that, it has been advised to the schools to make the students aware about the date and time of their practical examination.
