CBSE Confirms Answer Sheet Mix-Up in Class 12 Physics Exam, Orders Correction

A few days after alleging that his Physics answer sheet had been swapped during the CBSE re-evaluation process, student Vedant stated that the Board has now acknowledged the error and shared his "correct" answer sheet.

Writing on X, Vedant posted, "We have received my correct answer sheet from CBSE. CBSE officials contacted us in the evening and sent over my answer sheet. Our claim turned out to be correct, and a swapping of answer sheets had indeed occurred."

Responding to the student via email, CBSE stated that the matter has been reviewed and corrective action is being initiated. The Board noted, "Following a review, the matter has been investigated, and the correct copy of your answer sheet has been sent to your registered email address. Necessary steps are also being taken to update your result."

How Did This Controversy Begin?

This controversy erupted when Vedant claimed that the scanned copy of his Physics answer sheet, uploaded by CBSE during the verification process, was not his. He alleged that the handwriting, the structure of the answers, and the overall presentation in the uploaded copy were completely distinct from his own writing style.

The student compared the document with his answer sheets for other subjects and publicly questioned whether his original Physics answer sheet had even been evaluated at all.
