CBSE Extends Application Deadline for Merit Scholarships – Know the New Dates

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the deadline for its merit scholarship schemes. The new deadline for the Single Girl Child Scholarship 2024 Class 10 (for fresh applications) is January 10, 2024, with application verification by the school set for January 17, 2024.

Official Notice

The same dates apply to the Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023 Class 10 (Renewal 2024) Scheme for students who were awarded the scholarship in 2023. Earlier, the deadline was December 23, 2023.

CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship: How to apply

Step 1: Visit the official website — cbse.nic.in
Step 2: Click on ‘Single girl child scholarship X-2024 REG’
Step 3: Then, click on the designated scholarship application link
Step 4: On the new tab, select the type of application — fresh or renewal.
Step 5: Now click on SGC-X fresh application or renewal
Step 6: Fill out the application form, upload documents
Step 7: Submit the Single Girl Child Scholarship application, and download the form for future reference

Under the CBSE Single Girl Child scholarship scheme, students will receive Rs 500 per month. The monthly tuition fee must not exceed Rs 1,500 in Class 10, with a 10% increase for students in Class 11 and Class 12.
