CBSE Supplementary Exams 2025: Apply by June 17 for Class 10, 12 – Exams Start July 15

CBSE has released the notification for Class 10 and 12 Supplementary Exam 2025. Schools have to submit the list of regular students online on the Exam Sangam portal from May 30 to June 17, 2025. Students can get a second chance through this exam for improvement.

CBSE Supplementary Exam 2025 is for regular students who have got 'compartment' in the main exam or who want to improve 1-2 subjects. The application process will be from May 30 to June 17 through affiliated schools only. No application will be accepted after the last date.

CBSE has released a separate circular for private candidates for Supplementary Exam 2025. This notification is available on the official CBSE website. Private students can get all the information related to eligibility, application process and deadline by visiting the website.

CBSE Supplementary Exam 2025: Eligibility Criteria and Student Categories

CBSE Supplementary Exam 2025 will be conducted for these students:

• Students who got compartment in 2025 board exam
• Students who passed after subject substitution
• Those who passed board exam but want to improve their marks
• Students who failed in both 2024 and 2025 (private candidates only)
• Class 10 students who want to change Math Standard (041) and Basic (241)

Class 10 students can appear in a maximum of two subjects, while Class 12 students can appear in only one subject. The subject combination should be valid as per the datesheet.

CBSE Supplementary Exam 2025: Schedule and fee details released

CBSE Class 12 supplementary exam will be held on July 15, 2025 as a one-day exam. Class 10 exams will begin on the same day and will run as per the date sheet.

Note: Visually impaired students of class 10 and 12 are completely exempted from the examination fee.

CBSE Supplementary Exam 2025: Important Instructions and Correction Details for Schools

CBSE has given clear guidelines to schools for supplementary exam 2025:

Instructions for Schools

• It is the responsibility of the schools to identify and contact eligible students, especially those with compartment.
• It is necessary to submit the LOC (List of Candidates) even if the student is not contacted.
• The LOC will be submitted by logging in with the school affiliation number and the existing password.
• Digital payment and LOC submission is mandatory before the last date (17 June 2025).
• No change is possible after fee payment and LOC is finalized.
• No extension request will be accepted after the last date.

Performance Improvement and Other Details

• Improvement is valid only in subjects approved by CBSE.
• Selection of subjects should be in accordance with the date sheet.
• The syllabus of the supplementary examination will remain the same as that of the 2024-25 main examination (available on CBSE Academic Website).
• Consolidated mark sheet will be given only to those students who have passed the compartment.

Admit Card and Technical Support

Details on how to download the admit card will be released separately. In case of discrepancies or technical issues during submission, schools can contact the IT branch of their respective CBSE regional office. Contact details are available on the official CBSE site.
