CBSE Supplementary Exams 2025: Registration Begins for Private Students, Apply by June 17

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the registration process for supplementary examination 2025 for private students of class 10th and 12th. Interested students can apply from 30 May to 17 June 2025 by visiting the official website cbse.nic.in.
Who can apply?
Students who appeared in the examination as private candidates in 2023-24 and have got compartment in any subject are eligible. Apart from this, students who have passed in all the subjects but want to improve marks in one or two subjects can also apply. Regular students can also apply for improvement examination.
For how many subjects will the opportunity be available?
CBSE has clarified that class 12th students can apply for improvement in only one subject, while class 10th students will get a chance to improve in two subjects.

Exam and Registration Dates
According to CBSE, the supplementary exam will begin from July 15, 2025. The application process will begin from May 30 and continue till June 17. Students are advised to fill the form on time to avoid late fees.
Application fee information
The application fee for private candidates based in India is ₹300 per subject. It is ₹1,000 for students residing in Nepal and ₹2,000 per subject for students residing in other countries outside India. If students apply after the last date, they will have to pay an additional late fee of ₹2,000.
Mode of payment
Students can pay the application fee through debit card, credit card or net banking. The application will be considered valid only after the payment is successful.
Key figures of CBSE Result 2025
CBSE declared the results of class 10th and 12th on 13 May 2025. A total of 17.04 lakh students had registered in class 12th, out of which 14.96 lakh students passed and the total pass percentage was 88.39%. 23.85 lakh students had registered in class 10th, out of which 22.21 lakh students passed and the pass percentage was 93.66%.
Number of students appearing in the exam
CBSE board examinations were held this time from 15 February to 18 March. More than 44 lakh students from all over the country took part in these examinations. 24.12 lakh students of class 10th appeared in 84 subjects and 17.88 lakh students of class 12th appeared in 120 subjects.
