CBSE to Hold Special Class 12 Exams 2026 for West Asia Students: Check Details

Special examinations will be conducted for class 12 students of west Asian countries whose previous board examinations were cancelled owing to the prevailing situation in that region.

This decision has been made keeping in mind the fact that some students were not satisfied with their results which were calculated through the special evaluation system. The special examinations would be conducted for those subjects that could not be conducted previously.

CBSE has canceled the board examinations of class 12 in 7 west Asian countries namely Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates. 40 examinations in total including 20 academic subjects were cancelled.

Why is CBSE Conducting Special Exams for West Asia Students?

CBSE had already come up with an evaluation system on March 27, 2026, which was meant to determine the results of students whose examinations were canceled.

This system determined the results of regular candidates in West Asia countries on May 13, 2026, together with the results of other students of class 12 in India and overseas.

In addition, the results of private candidates in the same countries were also announced later through the same evaluation process.

CBSE had earlier indicated that those students who were not satisfied with the results could have been allowed to take examinations in the canceled subjects.

CBSE Class 12 Special Exam 2026 Details

CBSE has now decided to conduct examinations for eligible Class 12 students from West Asian countries in all 40 subjects that were cancelled earlier.

Students Can Choose Subjects for Special Exams

Candidates who have qualified will be permitted to appear for the papers of their own choice from among those canceled.

CBSE has clarified that the results obtained in this special exam will be taken as the final results. The fresh results will supersede the previous ones that were declared through the assessment system.

The CBSE will issue the examination dates and the schedule thereof after the submission of examination forms.

Important Instructions for Candidates

As per CBSE, eligible candidates are supposed to fill up the examination form themselves. Some important considerations are as follows:

• No examination fee is to be collected from the candidates.
• Same examination centers will be maintained.
• There will be no facility of post-result declaration.
• Special result will replace the existing one.

Students of affected West Asian countries are advised to follow all formalities according to the schedule provided by CBSE.
