The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the dates for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2026. The exam will be held on January 25, 2026, and will take place online in CBT mode. The exam paper will be available only in English.

Before the exam, NTA will release the Advance City Intimation Slip, which will show the city where candidates will appear for the test. This slip will be uploaded only on the official website cmat.nta.nic.in. After that, NTA will release the admit cards, which will mention the exam centre details and important instructions for students.

Students are advised to keep checking the official website for updates and follow the instructions shared by NTA. A link is also available on the website to download the official notice for the CMAT 2026 schedule.

Application process began in October

According to NTA’s notice issued on October 17, 2025, the online application form for CMAT 2026 opened on the same day. Candidates were able to complete the entire process online, including filling out the form, uploading documents, and paying the fee. NTA also advised students to read the eligibility criteria carefully before applying.

CMAT is one of the major national-level entrance exams for admission to AICTE-approved MBA and PGDM programs. Many government, private, and deemed universities accept CMAT scores for admission to the 2026–27 academic session.

Duration: 180 minutes (3 hours)
Language: English only

The exam will last for three hours, and students must complete all sections within this time limit. There is no separate time allocation for each section, so candidates can manage their time as they prefer.
