Finally a Big Decision on Class 12th Board Exam: Know the Details Here

As reported earlier, the center can take the final decision for conducting class 12th exam today on 1st June (Tuesday).  Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ had said on May 23. The decision will be taken by June 1.

SC gave permission to Center for taking the decision

While hearing on 31st May, Attorney General of India K. K. Venugopal appeared and stated that the government will take the final decision within the next two days. He stated, “We were hoping you’d give us time till Thursday, and we will come back with a final decision.” The bench said the Center can take the decision.

Next Plea hearing on June 3

The Supreme court hearing on plea has rescheduled on June 3 (Thursday). After the center’s decision SC will examine the decision and take the decision accordingly. 

Supreme Court asked the reason to Center For 12th Exam Conduction

During the plea hearing, SC has asked the center to give a good reason if the center decides to take the exam. At this moment the Supreme Court is waiting for the center’s final decision on Class 12 exam conduction. 

Education Minister to Students & Parents

Today Central Govt. is Likely to Take a Final Decision for Class 12th Exam conduction. However, the Union Education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ had said "I assure all the students and their parents that any decision taken will follow the yardstick that safety and future of students is the highest priority for us."

A Meeting was held between all states government

On Sunday 23 May, 2021, a High level meeting was held in the presence of all state education ministers and Secretaries to discuss the Class 12th Board Exam. CBSE gave 2 options to conduct the exam. But a few states such as Delhi directly oppose the idea of taking board exams. 

Education minister to All the state to take decision on 12 exam

The Education minister requested all states to give their elaborated suggestion for exam conduction by 25 May. Alse center has allowed all the states to take decisions for their state board.

A plea was filed in Supreme Court

Meanwhile a plea was already filed by the advocate Mamta Sharma in supreme court to direct the CBSE and ICSE Board authority to cancel the class 12th board exam. The first hearing of this plea to cancel the examination was conducted on 28th May. 

But due to the lack of documents and absences of responders (CBSE, ICSE) the hearing could not happen and rescheduled for Monday 31st, 2021.
