Candidates for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 have been warned by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore not to fall prey to phishing emails and scams. Four email addresses have been identified that may be sharing false information with candidates. Candidates can check the details at goaps.iisc.ac.in.
The fake email IDs are governmentofindiaministryofedu@gmail.com, examgraduateaptitudetestinagi@gmail.com, getsscorecardgraduateaptitude@gmail.com and bangaloreisindiainstituteof@gmail.com.
“Beware of scams and phishing emails coming from these emails about GATE,” posted on the official page of GATE 2024, which included a list of four websites mentioning GATE, IISc and the names of the education minister.
GATE 2024 aptitude test was held on February 3, 4, 10 and 11, 2024. The institute has released the answer keys along with the master question papers. GATE 2024 results are expected to be declared on March 16 and the scorecards will be released on March 23. For more details, candidates are advised to visit the official website of GATE.
GATE serves as a gateway for admission and financial aid to master's and doctoral programs offered by participating institutions. Furthermore, many PSUs include GATE scores in their recruitment processes. The exam evaluates candidates' understanding of various subjects including engineering, technology, science, humanities and architecture.
