GATE 2025 Chemistry (CY) Analysis

GATE Electronics and Communication Engineering paper consists of two sections General Aptitude and Core Chemistry. GATE Chemistry paper has 65 questions with a total of 100 marks. The total time allotted for the exam is 3 hours.

As per initial feedback, the overall exam was relatively easy compared to last year.

Physical Chemistry had questions on thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, and quantum mechanics.
Organic Chemistry questions focused on reaction mechanisms, spectroscopy, and biomolecules.
Inorganic Chemistry tested coordination compounds, periodic trends, and solid-state chemistry.
Some Assertion-Reason and Multiple Choice Questions (MSQs) were difficult.

GATE 2025 Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Analysis

The GATE Data Science and Artificial Intelligence paper consists of two sections: General Aptitude and Core Data Science and AI. The GATE Chemistry paper consists of 65 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. Candidates are given a total time of 3 hours to complete the exam.

As per the initial feedback, the overall difficulty level of the exam was similar to last year.

Machine Learning and AI: Questions based on supervised vs unsupervised learning, loss functions and deep learning architectures.
Statistics and Probability: Numerical questions on Bayes theorem, probability distributions and hypothesis testing.
Mathematics for Data Science: Linear algebra, matrix operations and eigenvalues.
Programming Concepts: Python-based coding questions related to data manipulation and algorithms.
