The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) has opened registration for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025. This exam allows students to apply for undergraduate (UG) courses in engineering, architecture, and other fields. GATE 2025 will have 30 papers, and candidates can choose two papers as per the GATE 2025 FAQs provided by IIT Roorkee.
IIT Roorkee has released detailed GATE 2025 FAQs to explain the application process, exam pattern, and admission guidelines. The last date to register without a late fee is September 26. However, those who miss this deadline can still apply with a late fee until October 7.
Depending on infrastructure and scheduling availability, the institute may announce more two-paper combinations later. Any updates will be posted on the official GATE 2025 website.
Candidates need to submit only one application form, even if they opt for two papers. Each GATE paper will be scored out of 100 marks. General aptitude, which is common for all papers, will be worth 15 marks, while the remaining 85 marks will be subject-specific questions.
According to the GATE 2025 exam dates, IIT Roorkee will conduct the national entrance exam on February 1, 2, 15, and 16 at various test centers across India. The institute has confirmed that candidates can change their exam city, paper, or category after the registration deadline during the correction period. However, they won’t be able to change their exam session.
