GATE 2026 Registration Opens Today at gate2026.iitg.ac.in – Apply Now

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2026) is being conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati this year.

This exam is a national level entrance exam for postgraduate admissions and PhD programs in various fields such as engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, arts and humanities. Apart from this, many Public Sector Units (PSUs) also use GATE scores during the recruitment process.

GATE 2026 Exam Date

• The exam will be conducted in multiple shifts in February 2026.
• The exact dates (Exam Schedule) will be released by IIT Guwahati in the official notification.
• The exam will be a Computer Based Test (CBT).

GATE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: B.E., B.Tech., B.Arch., B.Pharma., B.Sc. (Research), M.Sc., M.A., M.Com., M.C.A. or graduation/post graduation in relevant subjects. Final year students can also apply.

Age Limit: There is no age limit for GATE 2026.

GATE 2026 Registration

• GATE 2026 registration will be done in online mode only on the official website gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
• Candidates have to enter their personal details, educational qualification, subject selection and exam city while filling the application form.
• The registration process is likely to start in late August 2025 or early September 2025.

GATE score is not limited to just post-graduation admissions but has several benefits:
