An important notice has been issued for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026. IIT Guwahati has once again extended the application deadline.

Candidates who have not yet applied for any reason can now register with a late fee until October 13, 2025.

Applying with a late fee will incur additional fees. The application fee for General/OBC/EWS category candidates is ₹2,500 per paper and for reserved category candidates (Female/SC/ST/PWD) candidates is ₹1,500 per paper.

Candidates preparing for the exam should note that the GATE 2026 exam will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026.

Document Required for GATE Registration 2026

Photo: Recent (3.5 cm×4.5 cm), clear face (60%−70% coverage), taken after Aug 1, 2025.
Signature: Scanned image using black/dark blue ink.
Photo ID: Scanned copy of Aadhar-UID, Passport, PAN Card, etc.
Certificates (If Applicable): SC/ST, PwD, or Dyslexia certificates must be in PDF format.
