The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has officially released the information brochure for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025. Students can now access the brochure on the official website – gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

Important Dates

GATE 2025 is scheduled to take place on February 1, 2, 15, and 16. The application process will begin on August 24, with the deadline to apply being September 26 (without late fees) and October 7 (with late fees).

Exam Schedule

The GATE exam will be held on weekends in two sessions each day: a forenoon session from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and an afternoon session from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. This year, IIT Roorkee is responsible for conducting the GATE exam.

Test Papers

GATE 2025 will include a total of 30 different test papers. Candidates can choose to appear for one or two test papers, but the combinations must be selected from a specified list. Even if a candidate opts for two test papers, only one application form needs to be submitted. All test papers will be conducted in English and will consist entirely of objective-type questions.

Question Types

The GATE 2025 exam will feature three types of questions:

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ): In these questions, only one out of the four options is correct.
Multiple Select Questions (MSQ): In these questions, one or more than one of the four options may be correct.
Numerical Answer Type (NAT): For these questions, candidates must input their answer using a virtual keypad.

Fill in your personal details, academic, and contact information in the application form.
Upload a photograph and your signature as required.
