The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has released the registration schedule for the JEE Advanced 2025 exam. The registration will begin on April 23, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. and end on May 2, 2025. To complete their registration, students must pay the application fee by May 5, 2025. Admit cards will be available for download starting May 11, 2025. Candidates need their registration number and date of birth to log in and access the admit card. It’s essential to check the details on the admit card carefully before the exam day.

JEE Advanced 2025: Exam Date

The JEE Advanced 2025 exam will take place on May 18, 2025. The test consists of two mandatory papers, each lasting three hours. Paper 1 will run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, followed by Paper 2 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Both papers are compulsory for all candidates.

JEE Advanced 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for JEE Advanced 2025 includes a maximum of two attempts, as set by the Joint Admission Board (JAB). Applicants must be born on or after October 1, 2000, though SC, ST, and PwD candidates are eligible for a five-year age relaxation. Students must also qualify for JEE Main 2025 and rank among the top 2,50,000 in the BE/BTech paper.

A petition requesting an additional third attempt for JEE Advanced is under review by the Supreme Court. The hearing for this petition is scheduled for January 6, 2025. It addresses concerns regarding the reduction in the maximum number of attempts from three to two, which some candidates consider unfair.

IIT Kanpur has published the JEE Advanced 2025 syllabus, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, marking scheme, and other details on its official website.
