The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the correction window for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 application forms will open on 27 February 2026. All registered candidates have been advised to visit the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in to verify their details and make corrections if needed.

The correction facility will remain available till 28 February 2026 (up to 11:50 PM). After this deadline, no correction in any detail will be allowed under any circumstances. NTA has clearly stated that requests for changes won't be accepted once the window closes.

Which Fields Can Be Corrected?

NTA has released an official notice listing the fields where candidates can make corrections during the correction window. Here's the complete list.

  • Candidate's Name
  • Father's Name
  • Mother's Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Category
  • Sub-Category / PwD Status
  • Educational Qualification Details
  • State Code of Eligibility
  • 1Choice of Examination City
  • Medium of Question Paper

Candidates must ensure that all corrected details match their official documents. Any mismatch can create problems during the exam or at later stages of admission.

Which Fields Cannot Be Changed?

Certain registration details are generally not allowed to be changed during the correction window.

  • Credit Card
  • Debit Card
  • Net Banking
  • UPI

Corrections that require extra payment will be considered valid only after successful transaction. If the fee is not paid, the changes will not be accepted.

How to Make Corrections in JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Application Form

Candidates can follow these steps to edit their application form once the correction window opens.

Step 1: Visit the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in

Step 2: Click on the "JEE Main 2026 Correction Window" link

Step 3: Log in using Application Number and Password or Date of Birth

Step 4: Check all details carefully and modify the fields that need correction

Step 5: Pay the additional fee if required through Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI

Step 6: Submit the corrected form

Step 7: Download and print the revised confirmation page for future reference

What If You Miss the Correction Window?

If a candidate misses the correction window, there's no option to edit the application form later. NTA has been very clear that no changes will be entertained after 28 February 2026 at 11:50 PM. Students should set a reminder and complete their corrections well before the deadline to avoid last-minute website traffic issues.
