Why Students Need to Be Careful While Checking Results

Every year, many students rush to check their results and end up clicking on misleading links that appear on search engines. These fake websites look similar to the real NTA portal but are designed to steal personal information. To help JEE aspirants stay safe, here's a breakdown of fake and official websites.

JEE Main Result 2026: Fake Websites to Avoid

Fake websites often use small changes in the URL to appear genuine. They may swap ".nic.in" with ".com" or add extra words to look authentic. Here's a list of known fake websites that students should not visit:

Fake Website Why It's Suspicious
jeemains.in Uses "jeemains" instead of "jeemain"
jeemain.nta.in Missing ".ac" from the real domain
upmsp-edu.com/jee-mains-result-2024/ Completely unrelated domain with outdated year
jeemainnic.in Combines words to mimic the official URL
jeemain.info Uses ".info" instead of ".ac.in"
jeeguide.co.in Not affiliated with NTA in any way
info@jeeguide.co.in An email address disguised as a website

If you come across any website claiming to show JEE Main 2026 results but isn't linked to NTA, report it right away. These platforms are usually scams meant to collect your personal data.

JEE Main Result 2026: Official Websites

Students should only use these two verified websites to check their results and download scorecards:

Official Website Purpose
jeemain.nta.ac.in JEE Main result, scorecard, and answer key
nta.ac.in NTA's main portal for all exam updates

JEE Main Marks vs Percentile: How It Works

NTA doesn't rank students based on raw marks alone. It uses a normalisation process to convert raw scores into a standardised NTA percentile, which ranges from 0 to 100. This method ensures fairness across different shifts and exam papers, as the difficulty level may vary slightly between sessions.

What's Next for JEE Main 2026 Candidates?

NTA has already opened the registration process for the April session. Over 13 lakh candidates appeared for the January session, competing for seats in engineering, architecture, and planning programmes across the country.

JEE Main acts as the entry point for admission to B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Planning programmes at top institutions, including IITs, NITs, IIITs, and Government-Funded Technical Institutions (GFTIs).
