What Are the Revised KCET 2026 Dates?
Here's what the updated schedule looks like:
Last date to register: February 22, 2026
Last date to pay the application fee: February 24, 2026
KCET 2026 exam dates: April 23 and 24, 2026
Why Did KEA Extend the Deadline?
According to KEA, around 2.9 lakh students have already registered using their Aadhaar numbers. However, many students requested more time to complete their applications. KEA decided to extend the deadline to make things easier for everyone.
How Many Students Have Applied So Far?
Out of the 2.9 lakh registered candidates, about 2.5 lakh have already paid the application fee. That means roughly 40,000 students still need to complete the payment step.
On the verification side, document checks for 35,000 candidates have been completed at the college level. Another 1.8 lakh candidates have had their documents verified online through the SATS system.
Can You Edit Your KCET 2026 Application?
Yes. If you've already submitted your application and notice any mistakes, you can still make corrections. Just log in to the application portal and update the details before the window closes.
KEA confirmed this on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, saying candidates can fix errors in their submitted applications.
What Is KCET?
For those who aren't familiar, KCET stands for Karnataka Common Entrance Test. KEA conducts it every year. It's the gateway for admissions into engineering, architecture, medical, and pharmacy programmes at colleges across Karnataka.
If you're planning to pursue any of these courses in Karnataka, clearing KCET is a must.
What Should You Do Next?
If you haven't registered yet, don't wait till the last day. Complete your application and pay the fee well before the deadlines. Also, double-check your form for any errors before the correction window closes.
