BITS Pilani Expands Scholarship Coverage
The move to increase the number of eligible BITSAT rankers has been prompted by the institution seeing an increase in admissions from high-rank BITSA applicants.
Additionally, BITS Pilani has also emphasized its numerous scholarship schemes in its First Degree, Higher Degree and PhD programs.
As per the statement made by Prof. V. Ramgopal Rao, Group Vice Chancellor, BITS Pilani, the institution provided scholarships, fee waivers, and fellowships worth roughly ₹190 crore in the 2025-26 academic year.
Out of the total, about ₹101 crore was awarded to First Degree candidates under various scholarship categories including merit, merit cum need and International Scholarships.
It was stated that one out of every four candidates at all BITS campuses received some form of financial support in the academic year.
The revised BITSAT 2027 scholarship scheme will therefore ensure that more top-rankers become eligible for 100% fee waiver on tuition, subject to the criteria laid down.
