NEET UG 2024: What Items are Candidates Allowed in the Exam Hall; Here’s the Complete List

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Entrance Cum Eligibility Test for Undergraduate 2024 (NEET UG 2024) tomorrow, May 5. Along with presenting their NEET UG hall ticket for the exam day, candidates must follow a set of mentioned guidelines.
The medical entrance examination will be conducted in one shift from 2 pm to 5.20 pm. The examination will be conducted for more than 24 lakh candidates at various centers located in 557 cities across the country and 14 cities outside India.

What to Carry to the Test Centre

Admit Card: The most important document you need to bring is your NEET Admit Card. Make sure to print multiple copies and keep them safe. The admit card contains essential information such as your exam center details, roll number, and other crucial instructions.

Valid ID Proof: Bring a valid photo ID proof along with your admit card. Accepted IDs include Aadhar card, passport, driving license, or any other government-issued ID. Ensure that the name on your ID matches the name on your admit card.

Photograph: Carry a few passport-sized photographs. These may be required for affixing on the attendance sheet or any other document. Make sure they match the specifications mentioned in the admit card.

Stationery: Pack your stationery kit with essentials like pencils, pens, erasers, and a geometry box. It's recommended to carry two or more sets to avoid any last-minute inconvenience.

Water Bottle: Keep a transparent water bottle with you. Staying hydrated is crucial, especially during a lengthy examination.

Watch: Wear a watch to keep track of time. However, it's important to note that smartwatches are not allowed inside the examination hall.

Mask and Sanitizer: Considering the ongoing health concerns, it's advisable to carry a mask and a small bottle of hand sanitizer. Follow the COVID-19 guidelines issued by the authorities.
NEET UG hall tickets can be obtained from the NTA official website — exam.nta.nic.in. Medical aspirants must affix their latest postcard-sized color photograph on the NEET UG admit card before arriving at the exam center. The NEET 2024 UG admit card also includes an attached self-declaration form.

Electronic Gadgets: Items such as mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, and any other electronic devices are strictly prohibited. Leave them at home to avoid any penalties.

Books and Notes: Do not bring any study materials, textbooks, or notes to the examination hall. Only carry the permitted stationery mentioned in the guidelines.

Bags and Purses: Large bags, purses, or backpacks are not allowed inside the exam center. Carry only the necessary items in a clear plastic bag if needed.

Food Items: Avoid bringing snacks or any food items to the test center. However, a small snack like a chocolate bar for a quick energy boost during the break may be allowed.

Watches with Communication Capabilities: While a wristwatch is allowed, it should not have any communication features. Smartwatches with internet connectivity are strictly prohibited.
