NEET UG 2026 Result Out: 11.21 Lakh Qualify, Over 58% Are Women
The NTA declared the NEET UG 2026 re-test results on 16th July 2026. In total, 11.21 lakh students have qualified for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other medical programs.

Around 20 lakh students appeared in the exam which was held on 21st June 2026. The examination was held in 5,440 examination centers located in 551 cities of India and 14 cities abroad. The examination was provided in 13 languages.
NEET UG 2026 Result: Women Make Up Over 58% of Qualifiers
According to the NTA, women account for more than 58% of the candidates who qualified for NEET UG 2026.
Female candidates also recorded a higher qualification rate than male candidates. Around 56.8% of the women who appeared for the examination qualified, compared with 55.1% of male candidates.
NEET UG 2026 Result Highlights
A total of 138 candidates scored more than 690 marks out of 720. More than 93% of these top scorers appeared for NEET UG for the first time. Around 99% of the top-performing candidates were between 17 and 19 years old.
Aryan Gupta from Punjab and Panshul Bansal from Haryana jointly secured the highest score of 715 marks out of 720.
A total of 19 candidates scored above 700 marks. Around 1,492 candidates secured 650 marks or more.
More than 10,160 candidates scored at least 600 marks, while 90,780 candidates obtained 500 marks or above.

NEET UG 2026 State-Wise Qualification Data
Candidates from each and every state and Union Territory were eligible to sit for the exam.
Uttar Pradesh had the largest number of eligible candidates, with more than 1.7 lakh candidates qualifying in the examination. The smallest number of eligible candidates was that of Lakshadweep, which had 43 eligible candidates.
Jigmet Yangchan Lamo topped Ladakh with 530 marks. Dhruv Tripathi topped Andaman and Nicobar Island with 606 marks, whereas Fahmida Anees topped Lakshadweep with 573 marks.
There were 17 state toppers who scored 700 marks or higher. Overall, there were 26 state toppers scoring above 690 marks. The top 138 rank holders came from 66 cities.
The top 17 candidates with marks more than 705 belong to Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Tamil Nadu and Telangana.
NEET UG 2026 Category-Wise Qualified Candidates
Maximum eligible candidates were from the OBC-NCL category.
Total 5.12 lakh OBC-NCL candidates were eligible for the exam, while 2.91 lakh candidates from the General category.

NEET UG 2026 Answer Key and Result Timeline
The NTA said it completed the result process through a revised evaluation system. Several stages were conducted at the same time instead of one after another.
The provisional answer key was released on June 25, 2026. Candidates were allowed to challenge it from June 25 to June 28.
The scanned OMR answer sheets and recorded responses were made available from July 13 to July 15.
The final answer key and NEET UG 2026 result were released on July 16, 2026.

NEET UG 2026 Counselling Process
It is also made clear that the responsibilities of the NTA include only conducting the test, declaring the outcome and announcing All India Ranks.
Eligibility criteria are specified by the National Medical Commission.
Medical Counselling Committee will hold the counseling process for 15% All India Quota seats for MBBS and BDS courses.
Admissions to State Quota Seats will be held by state level counseling authorities.
Aspirants need to keep themselves updated about schedules, dates, and other related information from the official websites of MCC and state counseling authorities.
NTA Warns Candidates Against Admission Fraud
The NTA has warned candidates against fake calls, messages and websites promising admission, seat blocking or score improvement.
Candidates shouldn’t share their application number, password, OTP or personal details with unknown people.
They should rely only on official NEET UG, MCC and state counselling portals for admission-related updates.
They are supposed to consult only the authorized NEET UG, MCC and state counseling websites for any information related to admission.
How to View NEET UG 2026 Result
The following are the instructions that will help students to download the NEET UG 2026 scorecard:
Step 1: Open the official website neet.nta.nic.in.
Step 2: Click the NEET UG 2026 result link that appears on the home page.
Step 3: Enter the application number and password/other login credentials.
Step 4: Login using these credentials.
Step 5: Go through the marks, percentile, status and AIR.
Step 6: Download the scorecard.
NEET UG 2025 Result Overview
In NEET UG 2025, Mahesh Kumar from Rajasthan secured AIR 1 with a percentile score of 99.9999547.
Utkarsh Awadhiya from Madhya Pradesh secured the second position with a percentile score of 99.9999095.
Four candidates from Rajasthan were among the top 20 rankers in NEET UG 2025. Around 22.09 lakh candidates appeared for the examination, and 12.37 lakh qualified.
Uttar Pradesh recorded the highest number of qualified candidates at 1,70,684. It was followed by Maharashtra with 1,25,727 qualified candidates.
Rajasthan recorded 1,19,865 qualified candidates, while Karnataka and Bihar recorded 83,582 and 80,954 qualified candidates, respectively.
