NEET-UG Entrance Exam May Be Conducted For Twice A Year. Read Here What’s NTA Director Has To Say

One of the most popular Medical Entrance Exams, NEET, can be conducted twice a year. This change may reflect from the next academic session. inline with this proposal, the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health and family welfare have had a quite detailed discussion to conduct the NEET exam this year as well for twice. Although, no such decision had been taken yet by the higher authorities.

While having a conversation with one of the reputed news agency, Mr. Vineet Joshi, Director of the NTA (National Testing Agency) informed, the proposal of conducting the NEET exam twice a year is still under consideration. If we find a breakthrough then it is likely that NEET 2022 will be held two times a year from the next academic year. 

At the time of Mr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank (Former Education Minister), proposed the idea of conducting the medical entrance exam twice a year.

As per the current ongoing rules, candidates of Medical entrance exam have to give the exam once a year. This exam is conducted in the offline mode or by pen, paper mode. At the same time the candidates of Engineering entrance exams such as JEE, have the privilege to appear in the JEE Main for twice a year. 

However, earlier the students of Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) also demanded to conduct the NEET exam multiple times a year. They had written the letter to the Former Education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank.

In the letter they have also welcomed the decision of conducting the JEE Mains Exam 4 times for this year. 

They said that It is heartening to see that the NTA will be conducting the JEE for engineering institutions four times this year. It will help the students to give their best performance in the exam. Also, those who have been impacted by health and other concerns to skip a test will not have to worry about dropping a whole year. A similar decision should be taken for other entrance exams as well, such as NEET for medical and CLAT for Law colleges.
