The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET 2025 exam on May 4, 2025. Candidates for the NEET UG 2025 exam must not only be academically prepared but also strictly follow the official dress code and exam day instructions released by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

NEET follows a specific dress code to ensure transparency, prevent unfair practices, and maintain uniformity during security checks. Non-adherence to these guidelines may result in barred entry or even disqualification.

NEET 2025 Exam Day Guidelines

1️⃣ Reporting on time: All candidates must reach the exam centre by 11:00 am so that frisking and other formalities can be completed on time. Late arrivals will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

2️⃣ Deadline for entry: Entry to the centre will be allowed only till 1:30 pm. After this, no candidate will be allowed to enter, no matter what the reason is.

3️⃣ Security check and biometric attendance: Frisks will be conducted before entering the centre and biometric attendance will be recorded. This process is necessary to maintain the transparency of the exam.

4️⃣ Documents required: It is mandatory to bring admit card (along with self-declaration form), valid photo identity card (Aadhaar, PAN, passport etc.), and passport size photograph. Without documents, candidates will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

5️⃣ Health Safety Measures: Candidates must bring a transparent water bottle, face mask and hand sanitizer. It is important to follow the COVID-19 protocol.

6️⃣ Place of rough work: Any rough work can be done only in the test booklet. Using any other paper or material is strictly prohibited.

7️⃣ Follow the rules: It is important to follow all the instructions given by the invigilator during the exam. Disobedience may lead to strict action.

8️⃣ Avoid malpractice: Do not indulge in any kind of copying or unfair activity. Doing so will lead to immediate disqualification from the exam and may also be disqualified for future.

NEET 2025: Dress Code for Male Candidates (Detailed)

Male candidates appearing for NEET 2025 must wear simple and comfortable clothes that comply with NTA's security guidelines. Strict frisking is conducted at exam centers to prevent any malpractice. It’s essential to avoid any items that could cause delays or disqualification.

Allowed:

  • Light-colored half-sleeve shirts or T-shirts (without large buttons or embroidery).

  • Plain trousers or pants.

  • Open slippers or sandals with thin soles.

Not Allowed:

  • Full-sleeve shirts or clothes with elaborate designs, large buttons, or pockets.

  • Shoes, boots, or sneakers.

  • Any accessories like watches, bracelets, chains, or sunglasses.

NEET 2025: Dress Code for Female Candidates (Detailed)

Female candidates must also strictly follow the dress code set by NTA to ensure smooth frisking at exam centers. Focus should be on wearing simple, light-colored clothes without any accessories or decorations.

Allowed:

  • Light-colored half-sleeve kurtis/tops without large designs.

  • Salwar or pants.

  • Open slippers or low-heeled sandals (no shoes).

Not Allowed:

  • Full-sleeve clothes or outfits with embroidery/lace.

  • Hairpins, clips, or fancy hair accessories.

  • Jewelry such as earrings, nose rings, necklaces, bangles, rings, anklets, etc.

  • High heels, closed shoes, or boots.

Important Note:

If you need to wear any traditional or religious attire (such as a hijab or turban), you must inform NTA in advance during the application process and reach the exam center early to complete frisking smoothly.
