QS Global MBA Rankings 2025 : IIM Bangalore Secures Top Spot Among Indian MBA Colleges

This year, 14 Indian full-time MBA programs have secured spots in the QS Global MBA Rankings 2025. IIM Bangalore remains India’s top performer, though it has dropped out of the world’s top 50. IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta, and the Indian School of Business are also in the top 100. Three Indian institutes have made their debut in this year’s rankings. Globally, Stanford Graduate School of Business kept its number one spot.

QS Global MBA Rankings 2025 vs 2024: Top 10 Indian Institutes Compared

In comparison to 2024, IIM Bangalore dropped from 48th to 53rd, IIM Ahmedabad from 53rd to 60th, and IIM Calcutta from 59th to 65th. The Indian School of Business fell from 78th to 86th. IIM Kozhikode entered the 151-200 range for the first time. IIM Indore and XLRI stayed in the 201-250 range. However, IIM Lucknow and IIM Udaipur dropped to the 201-250 range, and the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, debuted in the 251+ range.

How India's Top 10 Institutes Ranked on Key Metrics in QS Global MBA 2025

In the QS Global MBA Rankings 2025, Indian institutes show different performances in overall score, employability, and return on investment (ROI). IIM Bangalore leads with a 67.4 overall score, 70.7 for employability, and an impressive 84.8 for ROI. IIM Ahmedabad follows with an overall score of 63.3, employability at 64.5, and an ROI of 80.8. IIM Calcutta is close behind with an overall score of 62.6, showing stronger employability (68.3) but a lower ROI (76).

The Indian School of Business scores 58.3 overall, with employability at 54.5 and a solid ROI of 71.4. IIM Kozhikode, IIM Indore, IIM Lucknow, and IIM Udaipur don't have overall scores but show moderate employability (ranging from 40.4 to 43.9) and ROIs between 60.3 and 64.4. XLRI-Xavier School of Management also lacks an overall score, but its employability is 40.7, and it has a lower ROI of 52.1. Lastly, the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, scores the lowest for employability (30) and ROI (48).
