Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and West Bengal have announced early school summer holidays due to the rising temperature.

Schools were reopened in 2022 after a long pause of 2 years because of COVID-19 pandemic. However, the scorching heat does not seem like the right time for students to resume school. Therefore, various states have announced the early school summer holidays; check the full list below:-

West Bengal

As per the holiday released earlier, the 12-day-long summer vacation was planned that could start on May 24, 2022. However, after CM Mamata Banerjee’s advice, the education department said that summer vacation in West Bengal will start on May 2 and will continue till June 15, 2022. Check West Bengal Books

Uttar Pradesh

In UP, schools will be closed till June 30 because 51-day summer vacation from May 21 has been announced in Uttar Pradesh. Check UP Board Books

Maharashtra

Earlier this month, the Maharashtra government has published a notice regarding the announcement of summer vacations for students of Classes 1 to 9 from May 2 till June 12.

Except in Vidarbha, the new academic session will commence in the state on June 13. The schools in Vidarbha will reopen on June 27, 2022, due to the extreme heatwave in the region. Check Maharashtra Board Books

Karnataka

Odisha

Andhra Pradesh

In the Union Territory, Students of classes 1 to 9 will get summer vacations from April 30, 2022.
