NEET, JEE Main 2020 : Application Correction Window Reopened

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has reopened the JEE Main and NEET application form correction correction window at jeemain.nta.nic.in and ntaneet.nic.in portals respectively.

The NTA has already postponed the April edition of JEE Main examination and May NEET examination due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country. Both the examinations, which are being conducted for engineering and medical undergraduate admissions in the country, will now be held in the last week of May, according to a statement from the Agency.

"In view of the hardships faced by the aspirants of NEET (UG)-2020 in making corrections in the particulars in the Online Application Form due to COVID19 epidemic, the National Testing Agency has further given the facility for making corrections in the particulars in the Online Application Form," the statement on NEET application form correction said.

"In view of the hardships faced by the aspirants of JEE (Main) 2020 in making corrections in the particulars in the Online Application Form due to COVID-19 epidemic, the National Testing Agency has further given the facility for making corrections in the particulars in the Online Application Form," the NTA said in another statement regarding JEE Main said.

Candidates are given chance to make changes in their application forms from April 1, 2020 to April 14, 2020.

The requisite fee can be paid through Credit/Debit Card/ Net Banking/UPI and PAYTM. 

"The candidates are requested to undertake the correction(s) very carefully as no further chance of correction will be provided to the candidates. In case, additional fee payment is required depending on the changes made in the form, the final updates will be reflected after the payment," the NTA statement said. 

The additional amount (if applicable) can be paid through Credit/Debit Card/ Net Banking.

AIIMS Biology Solved Papers : Biology Chapter Wise AIIMS 21 Years Solved Papers With Explanations

NTA NEET UG May-2020 : Postponed to be Conducted in May last week

"Since Parents and Students have to travel to different examination centres, to avoid any inconvenience to them, I have directed National Testing Agency to postpone NEET (UG) 2020 and JEE(Main) till last week of May," the HRD Minister wrote in his tweet.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 has been postponed. The exam scheduled to be held on May 3 and will now be conducted in the last week of May, the Human Resource and Development (HRD) Minister Rameskh Pokhiryal Nishank said in a tweet. He also informed that the Joint Entrance Examination or JEE Main will also be held in May last week. JEE Main was to be conducted in April first week.

The NEET admit card which was expected to be released on March 27 will now be released after April 15, as per the official notice by the NTA. The JEE Main admit card too will be released post mid-April. It was to be released on March 16.

The NTA in an official circular said, “We are hopeful that we would get back to normal situation relatively soon, but for now, various concerned ministries and examination boards are examining the scenario to evaluate the situation that may necessitate any change in he schedule.”

NTA added, “we understand that academic calendar and schedule is important but equally important is well being of citizens including students.”

Both the exams have been postponed as the coronavirus pandemic has gripped India. So far, 724 people in India have been affected with the disease. While 17 have lost their lives to the virus, 66 have recovered. The global causalities stand at 24,057.

Over 15.93 lakh had applied to appear for NEET and an estimated 9 lakh are expected to appear for JEE Main April session. JEE Main had also been held in January session before and is conducted twice a year. JEE Main was to be held in the first week of April.
