BITSAT 2026 Cutoff Increased: BITS Pilani Releases Admission Data for Selected Students

TheBITS Pilanialso concluded the admissions process for BITSAT 2026. On the basis of admission statistics, there have been 3,181 admissions via BITSAT 2026, which includes the admission of candidates who got admission through the 2+2 courses offered by the institute.

The institute has received more than 1.60 lakh applications this year. On the basis of the admission figures, the selected candidates are just a small percentage of the entire applicant list.

BITS Pilani Admits 3,181 Students Through BITSAT 2026

From the total number of students who were admitted, there are 2,723 male students and 449 female students.

There was an increase in the number of students admitted using the ISA process. There were 150 students who used the ISA process to join in 2026, which is an increase from 143 students the previous year.

United States remained the biggest contributor of international students.

The admission statistics indicate the level of competition for BITS Pilani programs since many students apply for few seats.

BITSAT 2026 Cutoff Increased for Several Programmes

The cutoff marks in BITSAT 2026 have gone up for many PCM and PCB courses compared to the last admission cycle.

As far as PCM courses were concerned, the least cutoff marks were 220 in 2026 whereas they used to be 203 in 2025.

The minimum cutoff marks for the B. Pharm course also increased from 151 to 200.

There were even some individual courses with increased cutoffs. The cutoff marks for Environmental & Sustainability Engineering rose from 181 marks to 208 while that for MSc Biology increased from 203 marks to 217 marks.

The BE Pharmaceutical Engineering course had a cutoff mark of 205 in the 2026 admission cycle.

BITS Pilani Provides Full Tuition Support to Top BITSAT Rankers

Scholarships have been provided by BITS Pilani for bright students.

BITS Pilani has provided financial assistance in the form of tuition fees for the top 500 ranks in BITSAT subject to fulfilling certain conditions. This scheme is for students whose annual income does not exceed 20 lakhs.

The number of students joining BITS Pilani out of top 500 BITSAT ranks, who get financial assistance in the form of tuition fees, was more than last year.

About 39 students got "Tuition Blind Scholarship" that covers the entire tuition fee of 4 years of study period. It comes with a condition of maintaining certain CGPA criteria.

BITS Pilani Increases Scholarship Support

There was also an increase in the total value of scholarships that were offered during the admission process at BITS Pilani.

The initial value of scholarships awarded to one semester increased to Rs 11.513 crore in 2026 from Rs 10.131 crore in 2025.

There was also an increase in the value of annual family income in respect of Merit cum Need (MCN) Scholarship from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.

This updated scholarship will assist the eligible students financially according to merit and requirements.
