JEE Main 2027 Registration: NTA Allows Fresh Applications to Correct Form Errors; Check Fee Rules
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has allowed candidates to submit a fresh JEE Main 2027 Session 1 application form if they made mistakes in their earlier application. The decision was taken after candidates reported errors in their submitted forms.
However, candidates should understand that a fresh application will be treated as a new registration. A new application number will be generated, and the candidate will have to enter all required details and upload the documents again.
JEE Main 2027 Fresh Application: Important Rules
Candidates submitting a fresh application should keep these points in mind:
- New application number: A new application number will be generated for every fresh form.
- Details must be entered again: Candidates need to provide their personal, academic and contact details again.
- Documents must be uploaded again: The photograph, signature and other required documents must be uploaded with the new application.
- Earlier fee won't be adjusted: The examination fee paid for the previous application won't be refunded or adjusted against the fresh application.
Candidates should check all details carefully before submitting the new form.
JEE Main 2027 Fresh Application Last Date
Candidates must complete the fresh application process, including fee payment, within the applicable deadline.
| Application Window | Deadline |
| Without late fee | November 22, 2026, up to 11:50 PM |
| With late fee | November 23 to 26, 2026, up to 11:50 PM |
The application process will be considered complete only after the prescribed fee has been successfully paid and the confirmation page has been generated.
Which JEE Main 2027 Application Will Be Valid?
NTA has clarified that the last application for which the examination fee is successfully paid and the confirmation page is generated will be treated as the valid application.
For example, if a candidate submits a fresh form but doesn't complete the fee payment or doesn't generate the confirmation page, the earlier application will remain valid if its fee payment and confirmation page were successfully completed.
JEE Main 2027 Correction Window: Another Option to Fix Errors
Candidates who only need to change details that are permitted under the correction facility don't necessarily have to submit a fresh application.
The JEE Main 2027 Session 1 correction window will be available from November 27 to November 29, 2026. Candidates can use this facility to edit the details allowed by NTA.
Students should check the list of editable fields before deciding whether to submit a fresh application or wait for the correction window.
Can Multiple JEE Main 2027 Application Numbers Cause Disqualification?
Having more than one application number doesn't by itself mean that a candidate will be disqualified. However, NTA has made it clear that candidates can appear for the examination only once in a session.
If a candidate appears in the examination multiple times using different application numbers, the case will be treated as Unfair Means (UFM) and action may be taken according to the JEE Main Information Bulletin.
Candidates who have multiple application numbers but don't appear in the examination using more than one of them won't be treated as UFM merely for holding multiple application numbers.
