If any candidate intends to accept the allotted seat, then the candidate needs to accept it by paying the admission or advance fee latest by July 18, 2026.
Non-payment of the prescribed fee on time will cause the cancellation of seat allotment. Students should maintain a copy of the fee receipt and admission offer after successful completion of formalities.
Why Is BITSAT Iteration 3 Important?
There is generally seat movement during the third round because some candidates pull out of the BITS admissions process since they have been allotted seats via the JoSAA or state counseling processes.
Such pulling out of the process will lead to vacancies for various programs and institutes. In turn, there may be new seat allotments made to waitlisted students, as well as upgradation of candidates who have been allotted seats before.
But seat movement depends on the number of candidates pulling out, as well as their preferences.
For instance, popular disciplines like computer science may not allow much movement due to high demand, but there may be more opportunities for engineering or sciences programs.
