The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta will close the CAT 2024 answer key challenge window tomorrow, December 5, at 11:55 PM. Candidates can download the official CAT answer key PDF and response sheet from the official website, iimcat.ac.in, by entering their registration number and password.

Key Highlights of CAT 2024

Exam Participation: Around 2.93 lakh candidates appeared for CAT 2024, including 1.07 lakh female, 1.86 lakh male, and 5 transgender candidates.
New Question Pattern: This year’s exam had 68 questions, and parajumbles were removed from the verbal ability section. The overall difficulty level was rated easier compared to CAT 2023.
Normalisation Process: Since the exam was conducted in three sessions, IIM Calcutta will use a normalisation method to calculate scores and percentiles, ensuring fairness across different slots.

Objection Process and Result Announcement

Candidates can raise objections against the CAT answer key until December 5. Once the window closes, IIM Calcutta will review the challenges and release the final answer key. CAT 2024 results are expected by the second week of January.

Admission Process After Results

Each IIM will follow its own selection criteria post-result declaration. Shortlisted candidates will receive interview letters and must attend further admission rounds, such as personal interviews and group discussions.
