CBSE 10th and 12th board exams have begun from February 15. To maintain the sanctity of the exams, the board has laid down a list of banned and allowed items at the exam centres.

This year the guidelines emphasise on strict penalties for violations. Students will be suspended from future exams for two years if they are found carrying mobile phones, electronic gadgets or any other electronic items during the exam.

Additionally, rumour mongers who disrupt the exam process will be barred from participating in the current and next year's exams.

All students will be physically frisked before entering the exam venue to maintain security. The official CBSE date sheet states that Class 10 exams will end on March 18, while Class 12 exams will end on April 4.

School ID Card

Your school ID card acts as a secondary form of identification, so make sure to bring it with you to the CBSE exam centre.

Stationery Allowed in CBSE Exam

Check with your school if transparent pouches are required. Bring the following stationery items:

Admit card and school identity card
Admit card along with any government-issued photo ID
Stationery: Geometry/pencil box, blue/royal blue ink/ballpoint/gel pen, scale, writing pad, eraser
Analogue watch and transparent water bottle
Metro card, bus pass, and money

Prohibited Items in CBSE Exams:

The use of any of the below-mentioned items, or any similar item, during the CBSE examination will be considered an act of "Unfair Means" and will be subject to disciplinary action as per the relevant rules and regulations of the CBSE

Whitener/Correction Fluid: Strictly prohibited.
Highlighters: Not allowed.
Coloured Pens/Pencils: Not permitted.
Any type of food item, whether open or packaged, is prohibited, except items specifically permitted for diabetic students.
Calculators (except for students with Dyscalculia, who are permitted to use calculators provided by the exam centre).
Log tables (provided by the exam centre)
Any form of textual material, whether printed or handwritten.
Loose papers of any kind.
Any item that could potentially be used for unfair means during the examination.

CBSE Board Exam 2025 Dress Code

Here are the dress code guidelines for regular and private students appearing for CBSE 10th Exam 2025 / CBSE 12th Exam 2025:

For Regular Students:

Candidates must wear school uniform on the day of the exam, which will make them easily recognizable and help in maintaining discipline.

For Private Students:

Private candidates must wear light clothes during the exam. It is advisable to wear comfortable clothes as they have to spend several hours in the exam hall.

Students must strictly follow these guidelines to ensure a smooth and fair exam process.
