CBSE Term 1 Exam 2022: Changes in Board OMR Sheet, Notice Released

CBSE Board has released the official notice regarding the changes in the Methods of Response in OMR Sheet. This new change is effected from December 7, 2021 to till end of the term 1 exam.
CBSE in its released Notice stated that sometimes evaluators struggle to differentiate between alphabets written in small Case or small letters while evaluation of OMR. Therefore, the Term 1 exams that will be conducted from December 7th will contain the OMR options marked by the candidates in capital A, B, C, and D.
Actions To Be Taken On OMR Sheet Evaluation
Instructions must be announced by Assistant Superintendents that from now responses in OMR Sheet must be given in capital A, B, C and D and not in small a, b, c, and d.
Invigilator’s responsibility is to make sure that all the candidates are giving responses in capital A, B, C and D.
The observer must ensure that responses are given by the candidates in capital A, B, C and D during the conduct of examination by taking multiple rounds and the same during the evaluation.
Court's Seal of Approval on CBSE's Assessment Scheme
During the pandemic the CBSE Board has stated an Assessment Scheme in which class 12 students would be evaluated for theory based on 30% marks from class 10 board, 30% from class 11, and 40% from marks based on the performance in the unit, mid-term, and pre-board tests in class 12.
Observing that the Supreme Court will not reopen the issue of CBSE’s scheme at all, the top court said it will not be open to the petitioners, who have raised grievances related to the scheme and evaluation of marks, to challenge the scheme.
