CBSE is scheduled to conduct term 2 board exams in March-April 2022. CBSE Class 12, 10 term 2 exam dates will be announced soon on cbse.nic.in.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) warned students against fake news about major exam pattern changes in CBSE Class 10 and 12 term 2 board exams. The CBSE clarified that there are no new changes in CBSE term 2 exams and that the board will follow the pattern announced on July 5, 2021. “It has been noticed that a few online media platforms are circulating incorrect information and confusing audiences, using expressions such as Breaking News about major exam pattern changes in Class 10 and 12, Term 2 Board exams,” as per the latest CBSE circular.

The CBSE clarified that “The Board had announced the changes in exam pattern (mentioned in circular number 51, dated 5th July 2021). Term 1 exams have already been completed and the format of exams for Term 2 is also mentioned in the same circular.”

This is not the first time CBSE has issued a circular on fake and misleading news. On December 14, the CBSE warned students against fake news claiming that the board will award upto six as grace marks due to the error in CBSE Class 12 accountancy exam conducted on December 13. On September 9, CBSE had clarified that the rumour that the board is sending questions papers for Class 9 and 11to schools is fake.

CBSE Term 2 Exam Pattern

CBSE is scheduled to conduct term 2 board exams in March-April 2022. CBSE Class 12, 10 term 2 exam dates will be announced soon on cbse.nic.in. Class 10, 12 students can download the CBSE board syllabus 2021-22 for each subject from the official website, cbseacademic.nic.in.

1. Two types of sample papers for term 2 are prepared for each subject. One will be a subjective paper and the second will be objective.

2. Subjective papers will have 2-5 marked questions for all main subjects.

3. The CBSE committee may release the objective and subjective sample papers for term 2 on the official website of CBSE.

4. Students can prepare for Term 2 by question bank available by the NCERT.

5. CBSE has recently partnered with the British Council to introduce a competency-based education (CBE) concept.

6. CBSE Term 2 will have new questions to assess critical thinking and conceptual clarity. These questions will be introduced in the upcoming sample paper through objective and subjective questions.

7. CBE will be an important aspect of Term 2 question papers now.

8. CBSE will organize a pan-India training program for Class 9-12 teachers for proper understanding of CBE and to equip them to better prepare students for Term 2.
