CUET 2026 Marks vs Percentile: How Your Score Is Calculated, Past Trends

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026 result on its official website, cuet.nta.nic.in. More than 15.68 lakh students appeared for the exam this year.

With the results now in hand, here’s some information on how your marks translate to percentile. Having this will give you a better idea about your chances of admissions in both central and private colleges.

How to Calculate Your CUET Percentile

The CUET percentile does not necessarily indicate your marks. The percentile only indicates how well you have done compared to all other students who have appeared for the test. This is the formula used by NTA.

CUET Percentile = (Number of candidates who scored equal to or lower than your raw score ÷ Total number of test takers) × 100

So a higher percentile means more candidates scored at or below your level. For example, a 99 percentile means you did better than 99% of the test takers.
