DU UG Admissions 2025: Mop-Up Round Announced Based on Class 12 Mark

The University of Delhi (DU) has announced to conduct a special Mop-Up Round to fill the vacant seats in its undergraduate (UG) programmes for the academic session 2025-26. This round is an important opportunity for students who could not get admission in the previous stages.

In earlier stages, admission was based on CUET scores, but in this Mop-Up Round, only class 12th marks will be taken into account for eligibility and admission. This decision has brought relief to students who could not perform well in CUET but have good class 12 marks.

Application Process and Important Dates

• Applications for the Mop-Up Round will begin from September 4, 2025 and will continue till September 7, 2025.
• The University of Delhi will release the list of vacant seats available in colleges and programmes on its portal www.admission.uod.ac.in on September 4 at 5 pm.
• The allotment process by colleges will begin from September 8, 2025.
• Selected candidates will have to deposit the fee by September 13, 2025 to confirm admission.

Who can apply?

Candidates who have already registered on the CSAS (UG)-2025 portal but have not yet taken admission in any programme can apply directly by logging into their dashboard.

New candidates who could not register earlier can also apply. For this, they have to pay ₹1000 Mop-Up fee in addition to the regular fee.

Application Fee

• Fee for UR/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/EWS candidates: ₹250
• Fee for SC/ST/PwBD candidates: ₹100
• Students who have already taken admission in any college based on CUET score will not be able to apply in this round.

Eligibility and Conditions

Admission will be based solely on Class 12th or equivalent marks. Minimum eligibility conditions and program-specific rules (such as subject combination and "Best of Four" criteria) will apply as per the university's information booklet. Colleges will verify students' documents, category certificates and other details before final admission.

Special Note

• No additional reservation seats of any kind (except for Divyang category) will be available in this Mop-Up Round.
• The university has called it the last admission opportunity for the 2025-26 session.
• Students are advised to keep their academic documents and certificates correct and updated before applying.
