GATE 2027 Registration Update: Complete DigiLocker Linking Before Application

IIT Madras has provided a crucial notification for the aspirants who intend to register for the GATE 2027 exam. The aspirants have been asked to make sure that they have a working DigiLocker account before the start of the application process.

Personal information would be auto-fetched from DigiLocker by the registration portal for GATE 2027. Candidates are advised to verify all personal information fetched and rectify if there is any discrepancy in such data while filling the application form.

The list of personal information auto-fetched from DigiLocker may include:

Date of Birth
Contact number (mobile number)
E-mail ID
Profile Picture
Address for Communication
Number of verified identity card

It is advised to candidates that they should ensure consistency in the information provided on academic record/professional qualification proof and personal information stored in DigiLocker.

Discrepancy in name, date of birth, etc., may lead to problem during the application process.

How to Prepare your DigiLocker Account

The candidates may take the following steps before the start of GATE 2027 application process:

Login to the DigiLocker account with the help of registered mobile number.
Verify the name, date of birth, and other personal details.
Update profile photo and residential address, wherever needed.
Upload or validate an identity proof document.
Make sure all the details are updated properly.

The candidate not having any DigiLocker account must create the same before the release of GATE application form.

Documents Required for GATE 2027 Registration

It will be mandatory for the candidates to upload scanned copies of these documents during the process of filling the GATE 2027 application form.

These should be uploaded in the specified format and size.
