The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee is likely to declare the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 result tomorrow, March 19, 2025. As per the official GATE 2025 brochure, IIT Roorkee is scheduled to declare the result on March 19.

However, the brochure also mentions that the dates may change. So, candidates can expect IIT Roorkee to declare the GATE 2025 results tomorrow. Once the results are released, candidates can visit the official GATE 2025 website gate2025.iitr.ac.in to view and download their results.

IIT Roorkee conducted GATE 2025 on February 1, 2, 15, and 16 in 30 different test papers.

On February 27, the institute released the provisional answer key, allowing candidates to challenge it till March 1, 2025. Candidates had the option to appear for one or two papers depending on their eligibility and subject preferences.

The exam consisted of three question formats—multiple-choice questions (MCQs), multiple-choice questions (MSQs), and numerical answer type (NAT)—assessing candidates' knowledge and problem-solving skills.

GATE 2025 Result: Steps to Check

Candidates can follow these steps to check and download GATE 2025 result:

Step 1: Visit the official website gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link that says 'GATE 2025 Result'.

Step 3: A new page will appear on the screen.

Step 4: Enter the asked credentials and click on Submit.

Step 5: Your GATE 2025 result will appear on the screen.

Step 6: Check your result, download it and take a printout of it for future reference.

GATE 2025: Last year’s Performance

Last year, over 8.26 lakh applications were received spanning over 30 test papers. Of these, 6,53,292 candidates appeared for the exam.

According to the cutoff 2024 for category and test paper, the total number of candidates who qualified in all GATE test papers in their respective categories (GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD) were 1,29,268.

In 2024, GATE had an increase of 23 per cent in enrollment, as compared to 2023, about 6.70 lakh candidates registered for GATE for 29 papers, in total. Out of these, 5.17 lakh candidates appeared for the exam in more than 500 centres across the country with an overall attendance of about 77 per cent.
