JEE Advanced 2025: Eligibility Criteria
As for the eligibility criteria, the Joint Admission Board (JAB) has reinstated the previous rule, limiting the number of attempts to two. Candidates who qualify JEE Main 2025 will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2025, which serves as the gateway for admission to IITs.
In recent years, the Joint Admission Board (JAB) reinstated the original JEE Advanced 2025 eligibility requirements and limited the number of attempts to two. The board had previously increased the number of attempts to three. Still, the third attempt of JEE Advanced failed due to competing obligations.
An appeal has been filed in the Supreme Court for the third attempt of JEE Advanced, the next hearing of which is scheduled on January 6, 2025. 22 applicants have filed a complaint against JAB for increasing the number of attempts in the next JEE Advanced exam from two to three and then back to two.
IIT Kanpur has already released the JEE Advanced syllabus 2025 and JEE Advanced 2025 information brochure on its official website, which includes eligibility requirements, application fee, exam pattern, and marking schemes.
Those who clear the JEE Main 2025 exam and rank in the top 2,50,000 in the BE/BTech paper will be eligible for the JEE Advanced exam. The applicant must be born on or after October 1, 2000. Also, SC, ST, and PWD candidates are given five years of age relaxation.
