JoSAA 2024 Counselling: Class 12 Top 20 Percentile Cut-Off for BTech Admission Released

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the category-wise top 20 percentile cut-off marks for the 2023 and 2024 board exams. This criterion is crucial for BTech admission eligibility. Students must either rank in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards or pass the JEE Advanced exam to be eligible for admission.

JoSAA conducts counseling for admission to prestigious institutes like the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and some government-funded technical institutes (GFTIs). This year, approximately 15 lakh JEE Main 2024 candidates are vying for about 42,000 seats in the NIT+ System. JoSAA will conduct five rounds of seat allocation, and the registration and choice filling process begins today.

JoSAA 2024 Counseling: 75 Percent Aggregate Criteria

Students must have completed their Class 12 board exams with a minimum of five subjects and obtained an aggregate score of at least 75 percent to be eligible. However, there are relaxations for candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories, where the minimum aggregate required is 65 percent.
