For IITs:

3. Upload cancelled cheque image (JPG).

4. Download withdrawal request letter.

5. Sign it (candidate and parent) and report to the reporting centre.

4. Dual Reporting Guidelines

• Required if a candidate accepts a seat in IIT and then gets allotted seat in NIT/IIIT/GFTI or vice versa.

• Failing to report for second document verification will lead to seat cancellation and no further participation in JoSAA rounds.

Seat Allotment Options After Each Round

Once the officials will allot the seat, candidates have to select one of the three options given below.

Freeze – If the applicant is satisfied with the allotted seat and does not wish to participate in further rounds of JoSAA counselling 2025.

Float – For candidates who are satisfied with the seat but wish to be considered for other institutes during future rounds of JoSAA seat allocation.

Slide – The candidate accepts the allotted seat but is also open to admission in a higher preferred course in the same institute.
