Karnataka PGCET 2026 Mock Allotment Delayed: KEA Extends Option Entry Deadline

KEA has deferred the announcement of the result of the Karnataka PGCET 2026 Mock Allotment. The mock allotment result was expected to be declared on September 17, 2026, but it has been deferred because KEA has decided to extend the deadline for submitting options in Karnataka PGCET 2026.

As per the new arrangement, candidates have the time till September 18, 2026, for the submission and modification of their preferences for colleges and courses. The new date of declaration of the mock allotment result is yet to be announced by KEA. If everything goes as planned, then the mock allotment result will be announced soon.

Why Is Karnataka PGCET 2026 Mock Allotment Delayed?

The reason for delay in mock allotment of Karnataka PGCET 2026 is because of the option entry extension.

While making an option entry, candidates make their choices of colleges and courses for admission. The preparation of mock seat allotment by KEA depends upon several considerations, such as:

• Rank of the candidate in PGCET
• Preference of college and course made by the candidate
• Vacant seats
• Reservations

As the option entry process is still ongoing, the mock allotment by KEA can be done only after it ends.

The closing date of the option entry process has been changed many times before. It was set to be September 15 but it has now been extended until September 18, 2026.

Karnataka PGCET 2026 Counselling Update

Mock allotment will allow candidates to know about their seat allotment before the final round of seat allotment.

Candidates can utilize the results of the mock allotment to evaluate their preferences and change them accordingly before the final round of seat allotment.
