The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) Cell will release the provisional merit list for BE and BTech admissions today for the academic year 2024-25. Candidates who applied for MHT CET counselling can check their merit numbers on the official website: fe2024.mahacet.org.
The provisional merit list will show candidates’ scores based on Maharashtra CET results, qualifying exam marks, and other criteria. Candidates can submit grievances for data corrections from tomorrow until August 6.
Applications registered after July 30 are only considered for non-CAP seats. Applications confirmed by scrutiny centers after July 31 will also be eligible only for non-CAP seats.
The final seat allocation will be based on the inter-se merit list. A distinct merit list will be published for seat allocation. Candidates who submitted their application forms via the MHT CET CAP portal before the deadline will receive a merit number. The MHT CET merit list will be created based on the state CET score, qualifying exam marks, and other relevant criteria.
For HSC candidates, the MHT CET counselling merit list will be based on either Maharashtra CET scores or marks from any other relevant exam conducted by the appropriate authority for admission to these courses.
In the event of a tie, the candidates’ relative merit will be determined as follows:
- Higher scores in Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry at CET.
- Higher percentage of marks in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry combined in the qualifying exam.
- Higher percentage of marks in individual subjects, i.e., Mathematics and Physics, and overall aggregate at the HSC or Class 12 level.
Candidates should review their merit numbers and verify their data to ensure accurate placement in the counselling process.
