NEET 2026 Exam Day Guidelines: Admit Card

On the day of the examination, the most important document is the NEET 2026 Admit Card. Download it well in advance of the exam—do not wait until the last moment.

Here's what you need to do with your admit card:

  • Take a printout of all three pages of the NEET 2026 admit card
  • Paste a recent postcard-sized photograph (4"x6") in the space provided
  • Paste a recent passport-sized photograph (the same one uploaded on the NEET 2026 application form)
  • Put your left-hand thumb impression in the designated space
  • Don't sign the admit card before reaching the centre. Sign only in front of the invigilator, or you may face disqualification

NEET 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

Every NEET candidate must follow these rules on exam day:

  • The exam centre will open at 11 am. No candidate will be allowed to enter before that time
  • The last entry into the hall is at 1:30 pm. No one will be allowed after that
  • You must carry the NEET 2026 admit card, a valid photo ID proof, an updated Aadhaar card, and a passport-sized photograph to be pasted on the attendance sheet
  • Show the admit card whenever the invigilator asks for it
  • Security checks like body scanners and frisking are mandatory. Cooperate with the staff at the centre
  • Candidates using their own scribe must carry a 'Letter of Undertaking' to the exam centre
  • No candidate will be allowed to leave the exam hall before 5 pm
  • The attendance sheet must be signed twice — once right after the exam begins, and again while handing over the answer sheet. If you miss either signature, you'll be marked absent

Safety Measures at the NEET 2026 Exam Centre

The NTA has put strict safety measures in place to make sure the exam is fair and free from unfair practices:

  • The NEET 2026 exam hall will be under CCTV surveillance and equipped with jammers
  • Candidates will be frisked with handheld metal detectors and biometric checks
  • Bio-breaks aren't allowed during the first hour and the last 30 minutes of the exam
  • Invigilators may physically frisk candidates after bio-breaks, and biometric attendance will be recorded again
  • The NTA is using AI-based real-time tools to spot any potential use of unfair means

NEET UG 2026 Dress Code

The NTA has set a simple dress code to make frisking quick and easy:

  • No heavy clothes or full-sleeve outfits
  • No shoes — only slippers or sandals with low heels are allowed
  • Avoid heavy accessories, jewellery, and metallic items

Candidates wearing items of faith — cultural, customary, or religious — should reach the centre early for proper frisking.
