GATE Exam is scheduled to begin from February 5, 2022, the exam authorities have released the admit card too. However, over 23000 aspirants who will appear in the GATE exam are demanding that the exam be postponed. They have signed the petition regarding this in the view of the third wave of COVID.
In terms of the candidates appearing in the GATE exam it is considered one of the biggest exams in India. Over 8 lakh candidates are expected to appear in this exam this year.
Various studies on the 3rd wave of COVID suggest that it will be on the peak in early February and the wave will end by April 2022. IIT Kanpur predictions are the same.
Candidates are very anxious due to the exam dates of GATE because it will be held in early February that is from Feb 5. Candidates can check GATE exam Date Sheet to know more.
Several students took to Twitter to raise the issue and they requested the officials to postpone the GATE 2022 exam.
About GATE 2022
GATE 2022 is an entrance test given by Engineers to be eligible to get admission in PG courses or to get job opportunities in PSUs. It is being held every year, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are the authorities of this exam. This year IIT Kharagpur is the exam conducting body.
GATE 2022 exam will be held in two different slots one slot will start at 9 AM and second one will begin at 2:30 PM.
